Medical Center leadership is proud to announce the following addition to its faculty and leadership staff.
Iliana Ramirez-Saldana, M.D.
Dr. Iliana Ramirez-Saldana, an anesthesiologist at the Cleveland Clinic Florida, has joined the Medical Center faculty as an assistant professor of anesthesiology.
After receiving her B.S. in biology from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1999, Ramirez-Saldana earned her M.D. magna cum laude at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, San Juan, in 2005. She had a preliminary surgical residency from 2005-06 at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Newark; a categorical surgical residency from 2006-07 at St. John Hospital and Medical Center, Detroit; anesthesiology residency at Boston Medical Center from 2008-11; and an adult cardiac anesthesiology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center from 2011-12.
Ramirez-Saldana first joined the Medical Center faculty in 2012 as an assistant professor of anesthesiology and served as an adult cardiovascular anesthesiologist and director of liver transplant anesthesiology. She had been with Cleveland Clinic Florida since 2016.
An active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists, Ramirez-Saldana has given 16 presentations nationally.
